Kelsi Doolitte, clarinet
Kelsi Doolittle is a distinguished clarinetist and educator from New York with a passion for both performance and teaching. She has had the privilege of performing as a guest clarinetist with renowned orchestras such as the Jacksonville Symphony, Charlotte Symphony, and Bozeman Symphony, and is a recent alumna of the New World Symphony in Miami. Kelsi has also participated in prestigious summer festivals like the Tanglewood Music Festival, Aspen Music Festival, and the Oregon Bach Festival.
As a chamber musician, Kelsi has competed and won multiple awards, including being a semi-finalist in the Coltman and Fischoff Chamber Music Competitions and winning the Grand Prize at the Plowman Chamber Music Competition. In 2024, she was honored with the Donald Spieth Memorial Award at the Techne Music Festival with her trio, Béla Trio.
Kelsi’s dedication to teaching has led her to work at esteemed institutions such as Miami Dade College, the New World School of the Arts, and VIA Music Academy in Miami. She also served as guest faculty for a sabbatical leave replacement at the University of Colorado Boulder.
Currently completing her Doctorate of Musical Arts in Clarinet Performance at Stony Brook University, Kelsi also holds a Master of Music in Clarinet Performance from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and Clarinet Performance from the Eastman School of Music.
